  • Dr. Aaron Smiley

    FOUNDER

    Dr. Aaron Smiley is a distinguished veterinarian and the Chief of Staff at Devonshire Veterinary Clinic. He co-founded VetSOAP, an AI software that improves animal care and practice efficiency. Dr. Smiley helped found the Veterinary Virtual Care Association and currently serves as its co-chair. He was the 2020 President of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and contributes to the University of Illinois Alumni Board. Dr. Smiley lectures across the country on virtual care and his expertise extends to human medicine through his work at Medi.ci.

  • Dr. Jason Szumski

    CO-FOUNDER

    Dr. Jason Szumski is a veterinarian that graduated from the University of Illinois in 2023. During his time at Illinois, he was the VBMA at Illinois president and his class president. During this time, he realized the importance of veterinary students getting educated in financial competency, communication development, and leadership advancement. He started speaking at national events in order to get more people understanding what new graduate veterinarians want after he sent a survey to multiple veterinary schools across the country. He currently is a small animal veterinarian that works at a 24/7 Emergency/General Practice hybrid clinic in the suburbs of Chicago.
